Low-Stakes Spectacle
Since childhood, I’ve been drawn to photography’s ability to reveal the poetry of the everyday. Influenced by William Eggleston, Ed Ruscha, Dennis Hopper, and Vivian Maier, my visual sensibility centers on the vernacular, the overlooked, and the quiet tension between the familiar and the uncanny.
Most of this work has remained private, surfacing only in occasional social media posts. Over time, it has become a personal visual archive, a collection of atmospheres, textures, and overlooked details that inform the settings of my fiction.
In recent years, I’ve approached this practice with greater intention, beginning work on my first small collection, Icks. The photographs explore unpeopled spaces, tracing the residue of human presence through the quiet atmosphere of the built environment.
